The goal isn't to never doubt...
The goal is not to ever doubt that God is good, that He knows what we are going through, that His promises remain, or that He is even near…the goal is to find the holes in His hands.

Just like Jesus invited doubting Thomas to touch His hands and see His side, Jesus invites us to meet Him at the place of his humanity, where He felt what we feel. Where he hurt like we hurt.

He isn’t afraid of the painful experience we may be going through. In fact, even though He could have had the perfect body after rising from the dead, He chose to keep His scars…I propose it’s so we could always have a place to meet Him in our pain, even if we doubt.
