As moms we are called to do this...

As mothers, we are called to be their advocates and a place of comfort, nurture, equipping, challenging, and training.
.
We are called to provide the safe place for them to take risk and have low steaks failures, be their advocate and speak for them as we also teach them to use the word own voice. To be an example of unconditional love even when they mess up and that that love never has to be earned no matter how many trophies or gold stars they get.
.
We are the ones that can spot potential and draw it out.

.
We are the ones that sets safe limits, guardrails and boundaries in order to provide a safe place to take risk.
.
We are called to fiercely guard, protect and raise up.
.
As a mom to a future man, it is my call to teach my son not only that his hands are made for love, but that he can be strong and vulnerable. That his mantle is to lead and protect. And that he can feel at home in the presence of a strong woman instead of intimidated by her and tear her down. That connection comes from relationship, and not from substances. And that he is seen, respected & valued.
.
If you’re a mom to a future woman, you have the beautiful opportunity to guide your daughter in knowing she is deeply loved and chosen, that she is desired, that she is worth fighting for, and that she can be at home in her vulnerability and in her power. That she can speak her mind. Stand her ground. Set boundaries and only allow hands of love to touch her.
.
These things take time, sacrifice, patience, and above all, close connection with the Holy Spirit who is our greatest example with these things that is as mothers are called to.
.
Being a mom is pretty common in the world but being a good mom is not for the faint of heart. It takes knowing how good God us, staying close to the Holy Spirit, and being in love with Jesus. It takes us to know what real love is and to point our babies to it so that when they experience not real love, they know it and go right back to Jesus and healthy relationship.
.
I don’t claim to be perfect by any means and I mess up a lot. My son teaches me more than I will ever be able to teach Him, but I do know that I will always try and point Him to the arms of Love.
