On the Third Day of Healthy-Cheer, Charity gave to me...
Chocolate, chocolate, and more Chocolate...that you can drink...through a straw...and it's delicious. Seriously though. It's heaven in your mouth.
4 years ago, I traded my granola for a superfood shake and have never looked back! (mostly because I tend to run 5 minutes late to every meeting and looking back means I have forgotten something...but I never forget my shake! I definitely don't forget about that. I can run out the door with a baby in one hand and my shake in the other. #convenience. It keeps me full with 24 grams of plant-based protein (pea and rice protein, paired together, to make a complete amino acid profile), it has healthy fats in it like chia seed and coconut oil, and healthy low-glycemic carbohydrates for easy energy and healthy brain function (Lord knows I need all the help I can get...#mombrain #thestruggleisreal).
Another thing that I LOVE about these shakes is that they are PURE, CLEAN, and don't contain artificial ingredients/colors/chemicals/flavors/etc, it doesn't contain soy-fillers or harmful artificial sugars like sucrolose or aspartame. It matters what we put into our bodies because that's what builds our cells.
Speaking of building cells, I also like to slurp down a shake after a workout to help my body recover faster (because as I get older, Lord knows #thestruggleisreal with this too)!
Since trading my granola for superfood shakes, I have more energy, I feel better, my muscle is maintained better because of the protein content, my hair and nails are stronger (again, protein makes a BIG difference), and I cook/meal prep less #winning. I also know that what is going IN my body is safe, healthy and pure.
You might be thinking, "suuurreeee Charity...that sounds great for you, but what about me? Will it work for me?" ...questions are good! Let me answer some for you...
Will it keep me full? ----> Yep.
Does it taste like chalk? -----> Nope.
Are there other flavors besides chocolate? -----> Yep (I could eat chocolate all day every day so that's my go to).
Will I miss chewing food? -----> Who has time to chew food?
Should I get some right away? -----> Does a one-legged duck swim in a circle? (that's a yes in case you were wondering).
